The Federal High Court Sitting in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture to the Federal Government of two penthouses valued at $4.760m, allegedly linked to the former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.   Justice Mojisola Olatoregun specifically ordered on Wednesday that the two properties: Penthouse 21, building 5, Block C, 11th floor (Bella Vista Estate) Banana Island, Ikoyi, and Penthouse 22, Block B (Admiralty Estate) also in Ikoyi, Lagos, be forfeited to the Federal Government.   The judge had on December 5, 2017, ordered the temporary forfeiture of the properties after hearing an ex parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).  The EFCC had listed Mrs Alison-Madueke, Donald Amagbo, Schillenburg LLC, and Sequoyah Property Limited, as respondents to the application.

The Lagos State police command has arrested a medical practitioner for the death of a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the state. According to reports, the deceased, a former DPO in Igando area of the state, was redeployed to Amuwo Odofin police post. Late last year, the DPO was injured in his arm during a faceoff with some hoodlums. He was said to be treating the dislocation in a traditional clinic, but the wound did not heal. Following the severe pains he was having, some of his friends advised him to try orthodox treatment and he was said to have taken the complaint to his medical doctor friend at Igando. The doctor was reported to have given him injection, following which, the DPO collapsed and all efforts to revive him proved abortive as he gave up the ghost. Leader of the now outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra   IPOB , Nnamdi   Kanu   and his wife, Uhechi, are reportedly residing in Ghana now. According to the Cable, Kanu who was last seen after a military raid of his home in Abia state last September, was reportedly ferried to the Niger Delta creeks by militants during the raid from where he found his way to   Ghana   by sea. The Cable says Kanu is regularly seen at Kenzo Bar and IBG saloon in Accra, disguised in face cap and usually in company of his wife, Uchechi. He is said to live at an area called Cantonment, also in Accra, at an estate called “Arabella”. He regularly patronises suya joints in remote parts of the city, according to the sources. Kanu is standing trial in Nigeria for treason.

With a strong conviction that the Abu Musab Al-Barnawi-led faction of Boko Haram might be responsible for the abduction of Dapchi School Girls, a respected North-East human rights activist, popularly called Mama Boko Haram, Barrister Aisha Alkali Wakil has appealed to the abductors to release the young female captives. Aisha Wakil, a former member of the Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the northern region of Nigeria under the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan, had, in previous efforts, brought military officers and Boko Haram Commanders together during negotiations. Eight soldiers are missing, while three others are seriously injured when Boko Haram members ambushed troops on the Damboa-Sabon Gari Road in Borno State today Monday February 26th.  Military sources told Sahara Reporters that one Army gun truck was also taken away by the sect's members. According to sources, the injured soldiers have been moved to a medical facility in Biu for treatment.

She reportedly had significant medical issues in the past, including kidney issues and possibly was in line for a transplant. The Rolling Stones will play Croker on May 17 The Rolling Stones are set to take to the stage at Croke Park this year, with the band to play the stadium on May 17.
