Prince Philip involved in Sandringham car crash The crash occurred near to the Sandringham Estate on Thursday.  Credit: KLFM Prince Philip has been involved in a car crash with another vehicle. The Duke of Edinburgh, 97, was not injured in the collision, which took place close to the Sandringham Estate on Thursday,  Buckingham Palace  said. Police are attending the scene, a palace spokesperson said. A statement read: "The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle this afternoon. The Duke was not injured. The accident took place close to the Sandringham Estate. Local police attended the scene." More to follow.

President Buhari and Osinbajo to join other presidential candidates in a live interactive programme today January 16th

The spokesperson of the  Buhari  Campaign Organization, Festus Keyamo, has indicated that the APC presidential candidate, President Buhari and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo, will be participating in a live televised 2-hour presidential townhall programme on Wednesday, January 16th. Breaking: British MPs overwhelmingly vote against Brexit deal

Members of the  British  parliament have voted overwhelmingly against the EU divorce deal struck between London and Brussels. MPs in parliament’s lower House of Commons voted by 432 to 202 to reject Prime Minister Theresa May’s agreement with the EU. “The house has spoken and the government will listen. It is clear that the house does not support this deal but tonight’s vote tells us nothing about what it does support. Nothing about how, or even if, it intends to honour the decision. Listen to the British people, who want this issue settled,” Theresa May said

A prominent pastor has been charged with raping his daughter over the last six years and in a video shared online, a woman in tears narrated how and where he raped his daughter. Matthew Gibson heads the Progressive Baptist Church of Brownsville in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn,   New York . His father, Bishop Benson Gibson is the bishop at the church, Matthew allegedly began raping his daughter since she was eight. The rape began in 2012 after the girl's mother passed away. He is alleged to have raped her on the church's grounds, including in the church's toilet, in the church's office and in the choir room. Matthew Gibson’s daughter finally opened up to her sister-in-law, Myia Maples, last week. and told her the extent of the abuse. How new IGP stopped Imohimi’s redeployment from Lagos

A statement from the  Lagos  state police command has indicated that the acting Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, was the one who stopped the redeployment of the Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgal Imohimi. Imohimi was meant to hand over to the new Commissioner, Kayode Egbetokun, today January but the handing over was stopped after a call from Abuja. A statement released by the command's spokesperson, Chike Oti, this evening, says the acting IGP ordered that status quo be maintained with regards to who leads the state command. Breaking: Upscale hotel complex in Kenya is under apparent terror attack with explosions and heavy gunfire

An upscale hotel complex in Kenya's capital is currently under attack, with a blast and heavy gunfire. Witnesses and police at the scene are calling it a terror attack. The complex in Nairobi includes a large hotel known as DusitD2, banks and offices. Several vehicles are burning. People are being rushed and carried from the scene while gunfire continues several minutes after the first reports. Police spokesman Charles Owino says that "we have sent officers to the scene, including from the anti-terrorism unit, but so far we have no more information." Ambulances, security forces and firefighters have rushed to the scene, sirens wailing. The attack reminds many Kenyans of the Westgate Mall attack in Nairobi in 2013, when al-Shabab extremists burst into the luxury shopping center, hurling grenades and starting a days-long siege that left 67 people dead.

The outgouing IGP, Ibrahim Idris, attained the mandatory 60 years for retirement today.

R Kelly denied permit to host concert In Illinois over possible protests and security concerns

R. Kelly has been denied permit to the Illinois  State Fairgrounds  in April after the state denied a permit application for an event to be hosted by the singer.   The original flier for the Springfield Spring Break Jam said Kelly was hosting the April 6 event, which would feature performances by rapper Yella Beezy and singers Young Lloyd and Dre Madison. “That application was under review until Thursday, at which point Illinois Dept. of Agriculture (IDOA) staff contacted the organizer to let them know their application would not be approved. Unfortunately, we cannot control when organizers start promoting an event — there was never a signed agreement to host the event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, only an application”  said Denise Albert, the department’s spokeswoman. Eddie Hearn, the manager and publicist of WBA, WBO, IBF Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, has come out publicly to plead for either of Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury or Dillian Whyte to fight the British boxer ahead of a 10 day deadline given by the World Boxing Federation to defend his heavyweight  belts . Deontay Wilder, who owns the WBC title, in December fought British Boxing star, Tyson Fury, and narrowly escaped defeat, with the judges giving a draw. Wilder prefers to fight Tyson Fury in a rematch this year, in what should be a mouth watering contest this year, rather than Anthony Joshua, with the consensus being that Joshua has been avoiding him the last two years and only wants a fight now that the Fury vs Wilder match has generated a lot of media frenzy. Donald Trump  told reporters: 'I never worked for Russia' US President Donald Trump has denied media reports regarding the Russia investigation and his meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, telling reporters he never worked for Russia and did not know anything about his interpreter's notes. Mr Trump, speaking at the White House before departing for New Orleans, said a Washington Post report that he had concealed details about his meetings with Mr Putin and confiscated his interpreter's notes was false. The New York Times also reported that the FBI was investigating whether Mr Trump has been working on behalf of Russia. "I never worked for Russia," he told reporters. The reports have sparked concern from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers. Graphic: Tipper rams into roadside sellers in Oshodi, kills mother and child

A woman and her child died after a tipper loaded with sand ran into them at Oshodi, Lagos state this afternoon, Monday January 14th. According to reports, the woman who sells satchet water aka pure water in the area was with other roadside traders selling their wares when the tipper lost control and rammed into them. Sadly, the woman and her child were the only ones who died in the accident. See graphic photos below

Abby went braless and left her jean jacket unbuttoned to expose her entire breasts. But she made  sure  to blur her nipples. Explaining the reason for The Boob Movement, she wrote: The goal is not to desexualize breasts. The goal, rather, that the woman finds refuse, understanding and a sense of belonging in the movement. Federal High Court stops FG's plan to arraign the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen before the Code of Conduct Tribunal

The Federal High Court in Abuja has stopped the Federal Government’s plan to arraign the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The FG through the Code of Conduct Bureau filed six counts of non-declaration of assets against the CJN on Friday. He was due for arraignment before the CCT today but he was absent from court.   However, ruling on two separate ex parte applications on Monday, Justice N.E  Maha, ordered parties to maintain status quo till January 17. He ruled in the two different suits that the defendants should be served with all the papers filed and they should appear in court at the next hearing.   According to a report by Punch, one of the two suits marked FHC/ABJ/CS/27/2019 was filed by incorporated ‎trustees of the Centre for Justice and Peace Initiative.
