Ex-Kano state governor, AVM Hamza Abdullahi dies at 73
Former military governor of old Kano State, Air Vice Marshal Hamza Abdullahi has died. He was 73 years old.
Abdullahi who served as governor of the old Kano state from January 1984 to August 1985 during the military regime of General Muhammadu Buhari, died on Wednesday January 2nd, in Germany.
Confirming his demise, the Hadejia Emirate of Jigawa, his home state, said he is saddened by his exit.
“Innalillahi wa inna’ilahirraju’un. It is with sadness that we share the news that AVM. Hamza Abdullahi, yesterday died in Germany. We pray Almighty Allah forgive him, grant him maghfira, illuminated his grave, and enter him in to janna and may he forgive us when our time comes.” the emirate tweeted
He left behind 17 children, 3 wives and many grandchildren.

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK.
