Otunba Kole Omololu becomes Odofin Aare Onakankanfo of Yoruba Land

Afenifere organising secretary general, Otunba Kole Omololu alongside 20 others bags chieftaincy title yesterday by Chief Gani Adams, the Aare Onakankanfo of Yorubaland.  
                                                     
Adams said that the appointment and installation of the 21 chiefs was to assist him in his assignment as the Aare Onakankanfo adding that Yorubaland was vast and that he needed to delegate responsibilities to people across all the Yoruba speaking states to help him succeed since his job covers the entire land as he could not be everywhere at the same time.
He said the appointment of chiefs had precedence and that his action was sanctioned by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

The elaborate ceremony was attended by some dignitaries like Mrs Titi Atiku- Abubakar, wife of the Presdential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Gbenga Daniel, Director- General of the Atiku Campaign Organisation and a former Governor of Ogun State, and Abiola, Wife of Mr Jimi Agbaje, the PDP Governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Dr. Tokunbo Awolowo Dosunmu and many others.

Veteran actor Femi Jarrett dies

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK.
