*Kwara State Police Command and other Security Agencies synergies to Ensure Peaceful Protest*


The Kwara State Police Command wishes to inform the public that comprehensive security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety and security of all residents and participants in the planned peaceful protest.


The Nigeria Police Force alongside The Nigeria Military, The Department of State Security Service, The Nigeria Civil Defense Corps, The Nigeria Customs Service, The Nigeria Correctional Service, The Nigeria Immigration Service, and The Federal Road Safety Corps are working in close coordination to cover every nook and cranny of Kwara State, ensuring maximum security presence and rapid response capability.


Joint patrols by the various security agencies have and will be conducted to maintain law and order and deter any potential threats while enhanced intelligence operations are in place to identify and neutralize any potential security threats.


The Kwara State Police Command, in collaboration with all security operatives, is committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for the planned protest. We encourage participants in the protest to follow the designated routes and adhere to the guidelines provided by the organizers and security agencies. The CP further urged everyone to keep reporting any suspicious movement of person(s) or item(s) they come across in a bid to disrupt the peaceful protest to the nearest Police Station or through any of the following emergency contact numbers:-

Veteran actor Femi Jarrett dies

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK. Burial announcements are yet to be announced according to the family May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace!
