Appeal Court Sacks MC Oluomo 


Oluomo has been having some tussles with the Lagos NURTW for some time

The emergence of Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has been invalidated by the Court of Appeal.

The ruling of the Appeal Court also affirmed Tajudeen Baruwa as the re-elected NURTW president.

 

Recalls the Southwest Zone of the NURTW had last week, elected MC Oluomo as the new National President.

Court paper make available to some journalists.  The ruling was delivered by the trio of Justice Hamma Akawu Barka, Justice Nnamdi Okwy Dimgba and Justice Asmau Ojuolape Akanbi.

Veteran actor Femi Jarrett dies

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK.
