Former minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr Betta Edu  hosts His Highness,  

the former 15th Emir of Kano,Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero,CFR, the Chancellor of the University of Calabar and his entourage, to the breaking  of Fast (Iftar) in her House in Calabar.


The *Acting Governor of Cross River State,Rt Hon Peter Odey* was also in attendance. 


The *Vice Chancellor* of the University of Calabar, Professor Florence Obi, led the  *Chairman and members  of the University's  Governing Council*, The University  Management and the entire University Community oncluding students.  


The  Leadership of the Muslim Community In Cross River state and other Muslim faithfuls were also in attendance. 


The Breaking of Fast gathering happened at a time when the Christian faithfuls are also observing their annual lent.


Nigeria is indeed a God's owned Country as its leadership under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu  is committed  to fostering unity, cultural appreciation, and interfaith harmony inline with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Veteran actor Femi Jarrett dies

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK. Burial announcements are yet to be announced according to the family May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace!
