Court Orders Forfeiture Of Diezani's Allegedly Stolen FundsThe Federal High Court Sitting in Lagos has ordered the interim forfeiture of an estate in Banana Island, Lagos.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of 37.5m US dollars alleged to have been fraudulently siphoned by a Former Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Deizani Alison Madueke.
Presiding Justice Chuka Obiozor made the forfeiture order after listening to an exparte application brought by the Head of Legal of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Anselm Ozioko.
The court also directed the EFCC to publish the order in the newspapers so that any interested party who does not want the money to be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government could appear in court within 14 days.
Further Proceedings has been fixed for the 7th of August.

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK.
