BREAKING: Channels Television Emerges TV Station Of The Year For 12th Time

Channels Television has won the Nigerian Media Merit Award for Best Television Station Of The Year for the 12th time.
The award-winning station was presented with the coveted award which recognises media excellence in Nigeria at a ceremony which took place at the Muson Centre in Lagos today, Wednesday.
Starting with its first win in 2000, Channels Television, which has an audience of more than 20 million people, has received recognition domestically and globally for its programming, dominating the NMMA.
Apart from its win in 2000 and this year (2017), Channels Television won the ‘Best Station of the Year’ award in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015, and 2016.
Also, at the award ceremony, Channels TV Presenter, Gimba Umar, was named the Presenter of the Year.

Veteran actor Femi Jarrett dies

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK. Burial announcements are yet to be announced according to the family May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace!
