This weekend had so many epic red carpetmoments, we had to double back.
Between the iHeartRadio MMVAs 2018 and Black Girls Rock! 2018, celebrities brought their A-game to the carpet, giving life to our Instagram feeds and wardrobes. From gowns with beautiful trains to menswear-inspired style (a trend that dominating the carpet and street style) to elevated casual pieces that you can wear to work or school, you don't want to miss this weekend's wear.
The highlights: Janet Jackson appeared at the Black Girls Rock! event in a gown fit for queen, and paired her look with a gravity-defying hairstyle. At the iHeartRadio MMVAs, Halsey opted for chainlink bra with a suit, in lieu of a top—a daring and sexy twist. Awkwafina's checkered dress was a mind-blowing sight to see. Nigerian Billionaire  Olorogun Oscar Ibru, the first son  of Michael Olorogun Ibru dies today Wednesday 24th September 2025    His family revealed that he passed away after a brief illness. No further details were provided regarding the circumstances of his death. A central figure in Nigeria’s corporate landscape, Ibru was the most prominent heirs of the Ibru dynasty. He played a pivotal role in sustaining and expanding the vast family conglomerate established by his late father, Olorogun Michael Ibru, with key interests spanning shipping, oil and gas, real estate, and commerce. Regarded as both a visionary businessman and custodian of his family’s legacy, Oscar Ibru carried forward the entrepreneurial spirit that made the Ibru Organisation one of Nigeria’s most recognisable corporate brands.   Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK.
