Investigation after man dies, two injured, in Dublin road crash

The crash happened at the junction of the Malahide road and Fairview
man in his late 40s has died, and a woman and child were injured, in a roadcrash in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
The man died after the van he was driving crashed into fencing at Fairview Park, north of the city centre.
A woman in her 40s and a 13-year-old boy who were travelling in the van were both injured.
There were no other vehicles involved.
The woman was taken to the Mater Hospital where her condition is described as critical.
The boy is being treated at Temple Street Children's University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí said the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission had been notified of the incident.
A GSOC spokesperson said the van involved in the incident "had come to the attention of gardaí" prior to the collision.
The van was stopped by gardaí on the Malahide Road after it was seen driving erratically.
As officers approached the van, it left the scene and gardaí were following it when the collision occurred.
The junction of Clontarf Road, Marino Mart and the Malahide Road in Fairview was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.
