2019: Donald Duke dumps PDP?for SDP
Former Cross River State governor, Donald Duke has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Donald Duke made the announcement today at the National Secretariat of the SDP, where he reportedly revealed that he will be running for the office of the President come 2019.  

He was received by the party’s National Secretary, Shehu Gabam, and other officials of the party. The former governor had earlier showed interest in running for Presidency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura. Femi Jarrett will be remembered for being a legendary actor and father to his only child Tolu Jarrett who is based in the UK.
