Actor Ryan Thomas was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother on Monday night, fighting back tears after his win.
The former Coronation Street star had been widely expected to win the public vote. Former Cheers star Kirstie Alley was the runner-up, with former The Only Way is Essex star Dan Osborne in third place.
Taken aback by the rapturous applause he received after leaving the house, Thomas said he had "no words whatsoever".
He had endured a torrid period in the Celebrity Big Brother house after formerCBB housemate Roxanne Pallett alleged that he had punched her during her time on the show. 
Thomas had denied punching Pallett, saying "there was no malice or anger in anything I did" and that he had been trying to show affection. 
Thomas was congratulated by his fellow contestants when he emerged from the house. Pallett was not in attendance.
Thomas said he could forgive Pallett, saying: "If she wants forgiveness and it makes her feel better then I would rather give her that, because I think she's been punished enough by the public and people around her."

  Veteran actor, screenwriter, producer and comedian Femi Jarrett passes away on  03/07/26. Femi Jarrett popularly known as Alagbin on Adios family during the 70s was born 16 Feburary 1949 in Calabar, Cross river state Nigeria. Femi Jarrett was a descent of the  Jibolu Taiwo family of Egbaland in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Femi Jarrett was married to the late Clara Jarrett (Nee Kuboye)  In 1975 Femi Jarrett started his acting career on NTA soap opera show village headmaster, Adio Family, Cock crow at dawn, for better for worse and Odo wura.
