Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has withdraw suit against Governor Aiyedatiwa.
Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial district Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim has withdrawn lawsuit against Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State. April 20th primary election, Aiyedatiwa emerged as the APC governorship candidate for the upcoming election in Ondo State, Nigeria.
The issue didn't go well with the senator which made him approach a Federal High Court in Abuja. The Senator in his Tuesday statement, said this decision was a result of a personal reach out by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of Nigeria and Afenifere. According to him, he said that President Tinubu assured him of his commitment to enhancing internal democracy within the APC Party. "Based on his assurances and leadership, I have decided to withdraw the case to support his efforts to pave a new way forward for our party" Jimoh Ibrahim says.
Ibrahim also noted Aiyedatiwa's efforts and urged the public to see the withdrawn suit as a gift to mark President Tinubu 1year in Office. These were disclosed in a statement titled, "Presidential Intervention and notice of withdrawal Suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS/588/2024" He acknowledged his "absolute" respect for Tinubu saying that he can never disobey him.
