Three charged with kidnap of jeweller found dead in country lane

Three men have been charged following the death of a jeweller who was found dead in a country lane in Leicestershire.
Ramniklal Jogiya’s body was found in Gaulby Lane, Stoughton, on Thursday (25 January) after he failed to return home from his jewellery shop in Belgrave Road, Leicester, the evening before.
Thomas Jervis, 23, of Enderby Road, Whetstone, 20-year-old Charles Frances Mcauley, of Gooding Avenue, Leicester, and Callan Reeve, 19, of Aylmer Road, Leicester, have been charged with the kidnap and robbery of Mr Jogiya. They are all due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
Two other men, aged 18 and 22, who were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and murder, remain in police custody.
Specialist teams searched part of the River Soar today as part of the investigation into what happened to Mr Jogiya.
Leicestershire Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
