The PSNI is appealing for information following two paramilitary-style shootings in Belfast tonight.
At 7.35pm this evening, a 41-year-old man was attacked in the Divismore Park area of Ballymurphy, west Belfast, by a group of men.
The victim, who was on his own at home, was shot five times in his legs and arms.
The man was taken to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.
A PSNI spokesman said: "This was a terrifying attack in the victim's own home.
"It is another example of a criminal group trying to control a community by the use of weapons, fear and violence."
Separately, a 26-year-old man was shot in the legs in the Upper Meadow St area of New Lodge, Belfast.
He was also taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information about either of the attacks is asked to contact the PSNI. RT
