Seventh time lucky! Corrie's Steve McDonald to marry again
Coronation Street's Steve McDonald looks set to wed for a seventh time as he prepares to pop the question to his ex-wife Tracy Barlow.
According to The Sun, Steve will get down on one knee in an upcoming episode to ask Tracy to walk down the aisle with him.
It is reported that Tracy will accept his marriage proposal - and that Steve's on-screen dad, Jim, will return for the special ceremony.
A source told the newspaper: "In coming weeks, fans will see Steve get down on one knee and propose to Tracy, who duly accepts.
"It’s the seventh time he’s been married, but writers are still to decide if they’ll get down the aisle, as love is never straightforward in Weatherfield."
Steve's first walked down the aisle over 20 years ago, when he and Vicky Arden said 'I do' in 1995. Their marriage only lasted two years and he went on to marry Karen Phillips in 2001 – and then again in 2004.
A few years later he made Becky Granger's his wife in 2009, before he married Tracy for the first time in 2012.
His most recent partner was Michelle Connor, who he wed in 2015. The couple parted ways when she found out that he'd fathered a child with Leanne Battersby after a one-night stand.
